Ever look at a piece of furniture and just wonder what it has been through? Where was it built, who had their clothes in it and where did it come from?  I come across that alot... Alot of friends have asked me what type of designs and where do you get your ideas from? Honestly, I don't know.. I do know that I enjoy painting kids furniture and furniture that looks like its been by the sea.. That's called my Seaside Themes.. Here are a few of my ideas, going to start working on my next project soon.

Grannie Virtual Road Trip

Ever just want to get in the car and just go? Who can afford that with the gas prices these days? So Im going on a Virtual road trip right from the comfort of my own living room. Today we are going to go look at old houses.. As I said before, each piece of furniture that I pick out speaks a story. Just put yourself in the moment and take notice.  What do these houses say to you?  Remember this is a just a virtual road trip and these houses were found on Pinterest..  Thank you to those that actually took the pics.

Why Hello there, thanks for coming to Grannies Refurbished furniture. I have been painting up a storm with my own furniture and custom orders.  I have to say I love Valspar Paint... and no they aren't paying me to say this, just my honest opinion.  Since I began painting alot, I've had the chance to try many different paints looking for the right one that actually does what I want with durability, must be easy to work with and beautiful Colors....  A friend, Shandelle, from Travelin Dreams Travel told me about this wonderful coupon that Lowes had out and I ran to my nearest Lowes.

The staff at the Lowe's Paint dept was awesome to work with and no they aren't paying me either to endorse their stores but when I have good product and great customer service I blast it out there.   But my specialty seems to be Beachy Fun type furniture. Something about the cool blues and greens is just so relaxing.  But back to the paint,  I got my samples (one for hubby and one for me) and came home to paint.  Love it!! Easy to paint on, bright colors and durability. Everything I wanted in a paint.  Thank you Lowes and Valspar, you made this Grannie happy.....

Currently working on a dining room table, two end tables and a chair... :)

The Purple Painted Lady

What do you do when you pick up a hobby and do so well at it, that you get your first custom order? You call one with experience. This is what happened to me... I have been following THE PURPLE PAINTED LADY for a long time now and I thought who better to ask my questions.

Every grannie has to take some time out to play with the little ones and she just happened to snap the picture as the cat was playing on the chair.... Taken at almost midnight so Grannie wasnt looking her best...

Wild at Heart

So here is the other piece that I have painted.... matching set and it will bring some Wild to any dorm room or teenagers room.. Table top is also done in Zebra print. 

Love getting all these funky ideas and putting them to use.  Ready to start the other project tomorrow :)
